Today I'm going to show you a really simple way to correct the perspective in your photos! I'm using Photoshop CS2, but I'm sure that you will be able to follow this in other versions of photoshop too.

To begin, you're just going to select the regular cropping tool. {newbie: I've drawn an arrow to it in the image below}...oh, and if you're wondering, this is a photo of the back of a hybrid card project one of my CT girls did lol

Today I’m going to show you a really simple way to correct the perspective in your photos! I’m using Photoshop CS2, but I’m sure that you will be able to follow this in other versions of photoshop too.

To begin, you’re just going to select the regular cropping tool. {newbie: I’ve drawn an arrow to it in the image below}…oh, and if you’re wondering, this is a photo of the back of a hybrid card project one of my CT girls did lol

Next, you will use the crop tool to make a general outline around the blue card. {Newbie: just place the crop tool above the top left corner, right click on your mouse and then drag the cursor down diagonally to the bottom right corner and then let go of the mouse button.} You should have something like this:

Next you are going to check the perspective box up in the menu bar:

Next, hover your cursor over one of the squares located on the corner of the dashed line we created around the blue card. Your cursor should turn into a white triangle (sorry, my screenshot wouldn’t capture it). Right click on the square and hold it while you drag the corner closer to the corner of the blue card.

Now repeat the above step for the remaining three corners. Move the corners around until you have gotten all the sides of the box as close to parallel to the side the blue card as you are able. When you’re done, you should have something like this:

Now click the arrow up in the menu bar to apply the crop to your image.

And that’s it! Your image should now look like this:
