Hybrid

Let’s Get Crafty!

Have you noticed all those talented ladies out there doing adorable hybrid craft projects?  Well, I sure have!  I love making crafts, but for some reason, just haven’t taken the plunge into hybrid.  It’s not that I mind the mess, or the physical supplies….I am just too darn lazy to print the papers!  But I have vowed to try a few hybrid projects in 2010 and to get myself in the mood I thought I’d feature some of the projects that I’ve run across that have been done with my digiscrap products!

I believe these Happy Birthday and Thank You Cards by Stampin_Rachel were the first hybrid projects to be made with my designs!  Rachel used my September Days  kit when she made these last Autumn as a guest on my team. JanMary made some Christmas cards last year too – but I can’t seem to locate a photo.  Too bad – they were adorable!

Linda created this adorable pencil box for The Hybrid Chick Blog using my Butterfly Dreams {Papers} – be sure to check out her blog post, as she shows some additional photos and tips on creating this project.  She even made a little ball point pen insert so the pen would coordinate with the box!

Next we have The Best by vervegirl using my 1776 papers.  I love that the stamp she used behind the wording is so similar to the pattern on the papers and how she carried the polka dot theme into the ribbon. I would love to receive a card like this!candy-bar-wrapper

Next is this fun Halloween Candy Bar Wrapper by Yamstamps.  She used This is Halloween, my collab with 4 Shades of Blue.  I like how she used the page border around the skinny edge of the box for some extra embellishing!

I fell in love with this juice bottle wrapper and treat topper combo by ccouch as soon as I spotted it!  She used my kit, Rawr-o-saurus Rex. What a fun and easy way to dress up your kids snacks!  I can’t wait until it’s my daughter’s turn as snack bringer at preschool so I can try this idea out too.

Silhouette-Ornament

And look at this adorable ornament that SunshineTK created using my collab with Elise’s Pieces, We Can Build a Snowman. Tee hee, I get a smile whenever I see those cute little snow people I made…my son was sitting next to me when I was designing them and he was upset because I hadn’t given the boy snowman a mouth like the girl – so we added one in, just for him!

And another ornament made by none-other-than Kelleight Ratzlaff for her 30 ornaments in 30 days blog series.  She used my Best of Winter 2008 {papers} I love how she embellished the dots on the front of the ornament with little pearls!

And last, but definitely not least is this absolutely amazing gingerbread house ornament by sung1203.  She used the dark brown paper from Always and Forever - never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that someone would look at that paper and think, “Hey!  I know!  This could be gingerbread!”  And to come up with the idea to put little treats in there with an advent like countdown….well, it just blows me away!

So, are you inspired to try your hand at hybrid? I know I am!
